SHEQing the Potential Holistically for Power

Yes, India is very poorly managed at many places. One such case was targeted for analysis through this paper. That is regarding the (electrical) power production through Thermal Power plants, based on coal, transported over long distances into disparate states. While plethora of ash transported along the road (rail) leads to Fuel misuse, the ash dumping has proved to be excessively harmful and carcinogenic.

The solution was simple. Remove the cause, and the effects are automatically taken care.
Discover the potential for judicious energy management. If it is not easy ’shake it’. SHEQing is a termed coined by the author of this paper/ blog ( in 1997).

Abstract:
The extension of Power is multifold, but the sustainability aspect is assessed only by its conformance to SHEQ-PC. It is because power developed, transmitted and used must be Safety,

A S Sekhon was an epitome of constant learning. Apart from his own love for engineering progress, Sekhon was as enthusiastic to promote others for learning as he was from himself. It was only this constant urge for engineering progress that the today’s memorial lecture is being dedicated to the discipline of constant Renewal by Learning. The true homage to Sehkon will be in resuming a progressive engineering acumen for the engineers such that they at least launch a competent society, if not a civilization of envy.

It is not a coincidence that ‘the discipline of constant Renewal by Learning’ was imbibed in the very title of soul of “Awatar Singh Sekhon”. While Awatar means a new incarnation, Avatar also makes the iconic presence visible to this universe. The forthcoming Awatar Singh Sekhon memorial lecture is hence being planned around the ‘Sekhon’ model, to inculcate not only the rudiments of an healthy and ever learning engineering society, but also disseminate the landmarks in the journey to establish an Avataric presence.
